Good MoodYou can think about your inner being as your mind, your will and your emotions. Your will is what gets things done, however, your thoughts and your emotions effect your will in a huge way. Thoughts effect your emotions and emotions effect your will. In other words, if you’re thoughts aren’t┬ácongruent with your will then you’ll never do the thing that you intended to do. You can have the desire to do something great, but if you’re thinking negatively about it┬áthen you’ll feel negatively too┬áand it simply won’t happen. So, if you’re finding yourself in that┬áfunk, here are a few tips to help you improve your mood and get out of┬áthe funk zone.

  1. Think Positively ΓÇô Being positive is choice. Unfortunately, there is always something to be negative about. Life isn’t a vacation all the time. But, likewise, there are always things to be happy about and thankful for. Choose to focus on what is good rather than what is bad. In┬áturn, you’re more likely to find a solution for those bad things.
  2. Take Deep Breaths ΓÇô Close your eyes and do a few minutes of slow breathing and/or meditation. This will slow down your brain and help you to eliminate the chaos. Additionally, you’ll become┬ámore alert because deep breathing┬áwill oxygenate the blood.
  3. Listen to Upbeat Music ΓÇô Research has shown that music can have a strong mood altering effect because of how it connects with memories. It’s also great for┬ágetting pumped up for exercise, which brings me to my next and final point.
